AUDLIND NATURE FUND

The nature of Iceland is a national heritage, which is a collective property of current and future generations. Audlind Nature Fund has been established to guard the principal resources of Iceland’s nature, to maintain their variety and to protect their livelihood. The Fund aims to conserve, to protect and to maintain respect of Iceland’s nature as a unique national heritage.

The Audlind Nature Fund relies on contributions and initiatives of individuals as well as the financial support of corporations and government agencies. The Fund is intended primarily as a financial guardian of the natural heritage of Iceland. A powerful Audlind Nature Fund will be able to support ambitious plans for a variety of programs directed by individuals, societies and communities which are aimed at reclaiming and protecting the unique attributes of Iceland’s nature.

Audlind is a non-profit organization and its charter legally established in Iceland. All individuals, societies and corporations, that care for the Natural Heritage of Iceland can contribute to the Audlind Nature fund. Contributions of companies to Audlind Nature Fund are tax-deductible.
The charter of Audlind allows for the establishment of special umbrella projects under the auspices of the Nature Fund. Two have been already established: VOTLÖND, with emphasis of preservation of the wetlands of Iceland, and ASSA, for conservation of the Icelandic White-tailed Sea Eagle population.
